Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The laser focus optics of current in-house built MALDI-FTICRMS was improved so as to decrease the laser focus spot size onto the specimen to less than 5 micron from 10 micron.
The laser optics was also modified to enable the on-axis irradiation of different wavelength laser light with precisly controlled different timing to burn through-hole on the non-conductive thick sample specimen to prevent charging-up on the sample specimen during MS imaing measurement.
