Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We compared functional traits for cedar plantation with natural deciduous broad-leaved forests at some watersheds having different geological features (sediment and granite) in a Kyusyu University Forest as model ecosystems to reveal structure of benthic and soil invertebrate communities. We also compared some functional traits with geographic variations of Japanese cedar in common gardens of Kyusyu University (with special reference to nitrogen use) and Hokkaido University Forests (with special reference to calcium dynamics), and discussed about above results.
