Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, we aimed to develop an automatic detection system of estrus period for cows by complementary use of distance image and video image. Although the detection rate largely depends on the situation, it was confirmed through experiments that the accuracy is higher than the conventional method including nighttime. In addition, we have proposed a new algorithm to identify and track cow's individuals for the automatic detection and identification of the cow in estrus behavior, and confirmed its effectiveness through experiments at ranches.
