| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Hematopoietic cell transplantation is widely recognized as an effective therapeutic measure. However, graft-vs-host disease (GvHD) remains one of major serious adverse events. This study attempted to demonstrate that hematopoietic stem (progenitor) cells (HSPCs) themselves had previously unrevealed ability to suppress GvHD. Although preliminary, established mouse models showed such effects in HSPCs after transplantation.
