Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we have established several methods to optimize the culture system of lung stem cells isolated central and peripheral lung epithelium. Especially, our novel finding is to find the method to culture stem cells with fibroblasts as a niche. Our new methods published will be widely used for further investigation of lung stem cells and contribute to lung regenerative medicine.
