Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to evaluate the physiological and pathological significance of somatic mutations occurring in brain cells, it is necessary to analyze frequency and pattern at the single cell levels in various types of brain cells. In this research project, we have established a series of analytical pipelines from pretreatment of brain samples, isolation of single neuronal nuclei, whole genome amplification, and data analysis of whole genome sequencing. These will be useful for clarifying the role of somatic mutations in the psychiatric disorders.
