Outline of Final Research Achievements

According to our research plan we published three papers in pair reviewed international journal. Among these, two papers are published on the topic dietary acid load score and risk of type 2 diabetes and mortality. We found that high dietary acid load score is associated with risk of type 2 diabetes among Japanese men. We also found that high dietary acid load score is associated with risk of mortality and CVD mortality particularly from heart disease. According to our research plan we completed our survey and collected data from from approximately 2,000 Japanese employees. Using these data we found that dietary but not serum magnesium is associated with glucose metabolism markers. I also participated in national and international conferences and exchange our findings and views with other researchers.
