Under the research program entitled "Research into the position of patients and children in French phenomenological movements", we studied French phenomenologist's (Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Marc Richir) approach to pathological phenomena and children's behavior. In order to advance the purpose of that research program, we accomplished the following contents of research; 1) firstly, Merleau-Ponty's phenomenological approach to developmental psychology ; 2) secondly, Richir's phenomenological approach to psychopathological phenomena ; 3) finally, examination of sense and value of their phenomenological approaches in the history of philosophy.
