Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project created of syntactic and semantic annotation for 'Corpus of Historical Japanese' Heian Period Series. In order to refine semantic studies of compound adjectives of Heian period era, using Quantitatibe Analysis.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

既刊の総索引では不十分であった、計量的分析に基づく語認定に取り組み、対象となる語の周辺に位置する語的な表現にまで視野を広げた中古形容詞の実態解明に努めた。また、古典語の語構成は語彙論・意味論の枠組みにおいて分析されるのが主流であったが、複合形容詞における語と文との連続性を計量化し、文法論と関与する語構成研究の一例を示した。
