Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project provides rigorous empirical evidence on (a) the origin and demise of self-governing institutions for commons in Japan, (b) the endogenous formation of sanctioning institutions in public goods game in India, (c) the interplay between choices of incentive contracts and social norms in the Philippines.
