Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To investigate human perceptual processes for stereopsis and 3-D shape perception, I conducted several experiments that used psychophysical and neuroimaging techniques. In psychophysical experiments on vision and haptics, I examined perceptual phenomena in which the part of 3-D objects is affected by surrounding objects. In neuroimaging studies, I examined neural responses to binocular disparities and perceived visual shape.
