Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We worked on the detection of electron charge and spin in InAs self-assembled quantum dots. We used a quantum dot as a charge sensor to detect single-electron charging events in another adjacent dot. In addition, we improved the sensitivity of the quantum dot to electrostatic environment by narrowing the electrodes. We also worked on SiGe self-assembled quantum dots, which may exhibit excellent hole-spin coherence. We fabricated single-hole transistor devices, and observed signatures of Kondo effect.
