Outline of Final Research Achievements |
kW-peak-power terahertz-wave parametric generation and 70 dB-dynamic-range sensitive detection have been demonstrated by using efficient surface-coupling configuration based on trapezoidal MgO:LiNbO3 crystals. By measuring the crystal-length dependence of terahertz-wave output using the trapezoidal crystal, the parametric gain of MgO:LiNbO3 crystal has been determined for the first time.
