Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Since aged oocytes often have abnormality in its maturation, we aimed to understand oocyte maturation. At the beginning, we planed to screen the genes to fucntion during oocyte maturation by knock down with siRNA. However a similar paper was published by other group, and we changed our strategy to screen by knock out mice. We produced KO mice for 9 genes, and found that 1 KO line can be infertile.
