Outline of Final Research Achievements

A retrospective analysis was done of outcomes of 96 patients with cervical cancer treated with primary radiation therapy with curative intent. 2-year overall and disease-free survival and local control was 87.5%・48.2%・80.2%. Image-guided brachytherapy with a three-dimensional image-based treatment planning for cervical cancer was considered highly effective and safe treatment.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
