Outline of Final Research Achievements

During metastasis, dynamic molecular change is potentially implicated in cancer cells. We focused on the spatiotemporal regulation of adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) metastasis. Unlike squamous cell carcinoma, reversible epithelial-mesenchymal transition was not observed in ACC, while several RNAs expressed transiently. This result may indicate that a specific molecular mechanism is essential for disseminated ACC cells to proliferate and form metastases.
