Outline of Final Research Achievements |
During the three years research period, I conducted research in libraries and theatre archives, attending and sometimes working at international theatre productions and festivals as a visiting scholar at the University of London, National Taiwan University and City University of New York. As a result, I published 2 articles for academic journals and 4 articles for books; presented 7 papers in English at international conferences; translated 11 plays from English to Japanese as well as from Japanese to English; published 22 theatre reviews for English language newspapers such as the Japan Times and theatre magazines. Based on these results, I am working on publishing the first English language monograph on Satoshi Miyagi for Bloomsbury Press's Shakespeare in Theatre Series.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
