Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Cement-clay interaction in engineered barrier of nuclear waste repositories was experimentally and numerically investigated at Laboratory for Waste Management (LES) of Paul Sherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland. It was found that calcite precipitation at the cement-clay interface significantly reduced mass transport through the interface.
