| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Our researches at prison show elderly prisoners committed crime first time over 65years old for poverty, social isolation and mental disorders including dementia. The researches at regional comprehensive support centers show old people making nuisance have similar profiles to elderly prisoners. We convinced Japanese situation around elderly prisoners is unique compared with the European countries. Medical system and social welfare should be enriched and enlarged to prevent antisocial behavior by old people and decrease elderly prisoners.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
高齢受刑者のプロフィールの輪郭を描き出し、地域における高齢者の迷惑行為との連続性を示唆できたことの社会的意義は大きいと考える。また、高齢受刑者の認知機能に関するデータを蓄積できたことにより、今後多様な比較対照研究が可能になることの学術的意義は大きい。
