Research Abstract

生体内に存在する金属含有タンパク質の一つであるヘムエリスリンは、海洋無脊椎動物中に存在する酸素運搬タンパク質で、その活性中心には二つの鉄が存在し、酸素と結合している状態をオキシヘムエリスリン、酸素と結合していない状態をデオキシヘムエリスリンと呼んでいる。これら2つの鉄は互いに非等価で、一方は六配位の配位飽和であるのに対し、他方は五配位の配位不飽和で一つの空配位座を有している。そして、酸素は配位不飽和な鉄にend-on型で配位し、酸素の可逆的脱着を行っている。このような非等価な二核鉄錯体で、酸素がend-onで配位した例はこれまでになく、本研究では、ヘムエリスリンモデル錯体として、このような非等価な配位環境を有する鉄(III)二核錯体の合成を鉄(III)錯体出発と鉄(II)錯体出発の2通りの方法で行い、一方の鉄に酸素種が配位した錯体の合成を行った。その結果、(i)中心の二つの鉄が共に三価の錯体を合成し、過酸化水素との反応でend-onで酸素種が結合した鉄(III)-ハイドロパーオキソ錯体を生成した。(ii)次に中心の二つの鉄が共に二価の錯体を合成し、酸素との反応を行い、やはりend-onで酸素種が配位した鉄(III)-ハイドロパーオキサイド錯体の生成を確認した。これらのキャラクタリゼーションは吸収スペクトル、ESIマススペクトル、共鳴ラマンスペクトル、単結晶X線構造解析法により行い、それらの生成は確認された。
