Research Abstract

本A04班は、平成16年度から平成20年度に渡り、A01班、A02班およびA03班と緊密に連携することで、これらの班により得られた成果をもとに、希土類磁性材料、発光材料、触媒、固体電解質、等々として機能のシステム化を図り、高次機能材料としての応用の可能性を明らかにすることを目的として研究を進めた。また、バクテリア、動物等々を対象に、パノスコピック形態制御された希土類系物質群の生体において誘発される高次機能の探索とその発現機構の解明を目ざし研究も行った。平成19年度の具体的な研究実績は以下の通りである。
1)高性能希土類磁石の創製およびこれを用いた磁気マイクロマシンの設計と試作(担当:山崎、町田)
パノスコピック形態制御による高性能永久磁石の高性能化およびその製造技術を改良・確立し、得られた永久磁石を用いてマイクロスクリューポンプや摩擦駆動型電磁マイクロモータを試作した。
2)高輝度蛍光体、発光素子等の創製、およびその応用(担当:山元、町田)
パノスコピック形態制御の手法を用いて、アルカリ土類酸窒化物系蛍光体、MSi_2N_20N_2=Eu^<2+>等を高品位で合成すると共に、これらを用いた白色LEDを試作し、高演色性の黄色や赤色蛍光体としての応用の可能性を評価した。
3)高イオン伝導性固体電解質の創製とこれを用いた高温固体電解質型燃料電池等の試作(担当:棚瀬、町田)
パノスコピック形態制御の手法を用いて、ケイ酸アパタイト系および酸化セリウム系複合酸化物系の高酸化物イオン導電性を示す電解質の開発を行うと共に、レーザーパターンニングの手法を用いたガラス基体状にマイクロイオン伝導路を形成することに成功した。
4)希土類合金、金属間化合物および錯化合物の創製と応用(担当:町田)
希土類一鉄系合金や金属間化合物、貴金属担持希土類酸化物や同複合酸化物等々を用いて電波吸収材料や触媒を作製し、これらがGHz領域での有害電磁波の低減やNOx排ガスの浄化に効果があることを見出した。
5)希土類元素の生体影響(担当:河合)
希土類と微生物および生体との関わりを調べ、Ce,Eu,La,Scが微生物の増殖や生理機能の発現に著しい影響を与えることを明らにした。
