Research Abstract

核燃焼によって発生するヘリウムは、プラズマに対向する真空容器壁やダイバータ、炉内で用いる計測機器等に大きな影響を与える。ダイバータのプラズマ対向材料として期待されているタングステンはその運転温度領域においてヘリウムバブルの熱的な移動・合体が起こり、その結果として表面にメソスケールの激しい凹凸化が進行することが明らかとなった。また、プラズマ計測に使われる第一ミラーの光反射率劣化機構の解明に取り組み、ヘリウムの照射および酸素を含む金属原子の共堆積が光学特性の劣化をもたらすことを明らかにした。
