Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Priority Areas
植物細胞の生理機能を支える細胞内低分子環境のうち、無機イオンとしてのH^+、リン酸、Na^+、Ca^<2+>、Znなどに注目し、外部環境の変化に対して、イオン濃度がどのように制御されているかを、特に液胞および液胞小胞系の機能との関連で解析した。その結果、1.高塩環境下における液胞への塩蓄積機構と液胞構造のダイナミックな変化、2.イノシトールリン酸の代謝と液胞への蓄積機構、3.Ca^<2+>ホメオスタシスの分子機構、4.亜鉛集積と液胞ダイナミズム、5.液胞膜H^+輸送ピロホスファターゼの機能の詳細を明らかにすることに成功した。
