Research Abstract

独自に開発したプラナリア無性生殖個体を有性生殖個体に転換させる系(有性化)を用いて、(1)有性化因子の単離、(2)有性化関連遺伝子群の解析、(3)全能性幹細胞ネオブラストの生殖細胞分化能について研究を進めてきた。有性化因子の一つとしてD-Trpが卵巣の顕著な発達と異所的な卵巣形成を誘導することを示し、有性化誘導初期に発現する遺伝子群を探索し見いだした。また、誕生時の生殖様式によってネオブラストの生殖細胞への分化能が異なることが示した。
