Research Abstract

海洋生物生産過程と関連を持つ地球規模環境変動に影響を与えるガス成分として、本研究では、DMS(P)、二酸化炭素等を取り上げた。南極海季節海氷域において、これらガス成分の動態と生物生産過程の関連を調べた。本研究より、DMS(P)の動態には、植物プランクトンの種組成や、動物プランクトンによる摂食過程が強く影響していることが示された。また、二酸化炭素の観測から、リュツォ・ホルム湾沖合東側は二酸化炭素の吸収が行われていることが明らかとなった。
