Outline of Final Research Achievements

植物は効率良く光合成を行うために、光条件によって細胞内の葉緑体の分布を変えている。弱光に向かって集合し、強光からは逃避する。この現象を葉緑体光定位運動と呼ぶ。我々は葉緑体が光の強弱を感知する光受容体を以前に確定した。本研究では光受容後葉緑体がどのような機構で運動するかを調べ、関与する数種のタンパク質を同定するとともに、葉緑体が移動するために必須な、従来知られていなかったアクチン微繊維構造を発見した。
