Research Abstract

Objective of our research is automatic compensation of GDD (group-delay-dispersion) by FDPC (frequency-domain phase-conjugation) wave in non-resonant media by coherence transformation. The FDPC wave is time reversed replica of a signal wave and regenerate initial pulse shape after passing through again the same GDD elements. We have proposed new scheme, two-photon gated pulse recording and time-reversed play back, to generate the FDPC wave. In experiments, we have demonstrated that pulse regeneration of a 10fs laser pulse with the two-photon gated diffractive optics. Part of our research is as the follows:
2. A new scheme to compensate higher order group-delay-dispersion in a CPA (chirped-pulse-amplification) has been proposed.

3. Femtosecond pulse amplification in a photorefractive medium has been demonstrated by the two-photon gated scheme. The gain bandwidth of 32 THz has been measured.
