Research Abstract |
The National Colleges of Technology accept about 140 foreign students from many developing countries every year. In order to educate them for excellent engineers, mathematics plays an important role. However we have poor information about their mathematics education and educational system in their countries. To get enough information of their education, we have visited their countries as many as possible. We got information and materials of their math education and analyzed them. We report these results. Roughly speaking of the report, it is composed of mathematics contents which they studied in their countries and the character of their math education, their educational system, their culture and life as the back ground of education, and the vocational problems for their students. In studying these things, it is the most impressive things for us that we find and realize that the students coming to our colleges are the most excellent and expected students in their countries. They have won many severe examinations and competitions to get Japanese scholarship. We are responsible to give them good and suitable education. We analyze their textbook and questionnaires and suggest some plan of teaching system.
