| Research Abstract |
Le Roman de Renart, one of the most famous and important literary works in the french middle aged literature, has many epigones written by the different authors of the various European countries.
The study on these epigones is neglected until our days, and especially, in our country it is no exaggeration to say we have no scientific studies of this theme until now.
We have tried to grasp the whole of epigones and its problems ; manuscripts, reproduction of the text, critical edition, explication on the difficult passages, notes and glossaries, even the Japanese translation for Renart le Bestourne and Le Dit de la queue de Renart . We are sure that in the near futr this kind of epigones should be re-examinated, for instance, because of its particularity of languages aid description of the society where authors lived.
