Research Abstract |
A "Fuan" is a note of documents written by officers in the Court called "Shikiji". They attended the Emperor and were involved in drawing up documents in the Court. These notes were written through the Middle Ages, and there are several "Fuans" on Muromachi and Sengoku Era still existant. Contents of a "Fuari' are copies of documents that a "Shikiji" received and issued. These documents are essential historical sources to study on the actual situation of the Court and most of original of them are scattered and lost. So, the research of "Fuans" is very important, but there are few works about these notes. Then, I set the following two purposes. 1. To research on owners of "Fuans". 2. To analyze contents of these notes.. And from this research, I achieved the following three results. 1. I inventigated original "Fuans" and reproductions in the Historiographical Institute the University of Tokyo, and visited some owners and take a photograph of these notes. 2. I most poured energy for the study of "Nobuhide-kyo Migyosho Ann", written in the end of 15th century. I reprinted it and compiled an index of the name of characters. And besides, I researched the back side of papers of the note. From these works, I focused the office and rank of samurai class in Muromachi Era, and treated the subject of relations of the Emperor and the Muromachi Shogunate after the Onin War.
