Research Abstract |
Recently venture business has been taken more and more notice of and has been contributing to economic growth but also has been expected to be a primary economic growth engine. However, the current Japanese situations such that venture business has not fully blossomed. Now, the current author wishes to introduce a new management game which runs on the Internet, and is thus accessible for 24 hours a day on a Web browser. The game which I have developed makes it possible for a user to have a virtual experience of venture business, where he or she can enjoy starting a business by him-/herself and come to understand and develop the business spirit. That is the object of this virtual game. The system requirements are composed of servers such as Webservers, Java application servers and data servers, and of clients like a Web browser. What this game is all about: follows as : a player acts as manager of a personal computer outlet, being responsible for decision making regarding stocking and selling. Several players can participate in real time on-line and contend for the lead, and the higher the profit a sales owner earns, the higher score he earns at the end of the game. Decisions are made every month for six months and the system will automatically close the books every month and show the results. Stocking of goods will be performed by the progressive process on the server while purchases will be dealt with by the client agent process on the server. This system is intended to make users (students) have more knowledge of management while they enjoy game-plying, and also develop their analyzing and decision-making proficiency. This will raise their consciousness level regarding starting a new business in the future.
