Research Abstract |
THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH IS TO REVEAL THE DERIVING METHOD OF THE OPTIMUM TOOL ATTITUDE BASED ON THE CUTTING EFFICIENCY OF THE CUTTING EDGE OF THE BALL-NOSE END MILL. 1.THE CUTTING EFFICIENCY OF THE PORTION OF THE CUTTING EDGE WAS QUANTITIZED AS A RESULT OF THE TOOL INCLINED MACHINING. 2.THE TOOL ATTITUDE WAS EVALUATED BY MACHINABLE AREA THAT CAN BE EFFICIENCY MACHINED. 3.FOR TOOL ATTITUDE EVALUATION, THE FACAT WAS EMPLOYED AS CUTTING UNIT THAT IS DIVIDED THE REQUIRED SURFACE INTO SMALL TRIANGLE IN NEEDED ACCURACY. 4.WE PROPOSED THE CALCULATION METHOD OF OPTIMUM TOOL ATTITUDE FOR REQUIRED MACHINING SURFACES USING NORMAL VECTORS OF THE SURFACES AND CUTTING EDGE SHAPES SIMILAR TO THE GAUSSIAN SPHERE METHOD. 5.WE PROPOSED THE MACHINABLE AREA EVALUATION METHOD OF CALCULATED INDEXING ANGLE BASED ON INVERSE OFFSET METHOD WITH STATE FLAG. 6.CONSIDERING THE REQUIRED MACHINING SURFACE CONSISTING OF SURFACE ELEMENTS WITH MACHINING FEATURE, WE PRESENTED THE METHOD TO EVALUATE THE SURFACE ELEMENT FROM VIEWPOINT OF CUTTING EFFICIENCY BY MANAGING FACET AS A PART OF EACH SURFACE ELEMENT. 7.THE DERIVING METHOD OF THE MACHINING SURFACE GROUP THAT CAN BE MACHINED HIGH PERFORMANCE IN THE ONE TOOL ATTITUDE WERE REVEALED ON THE BASIS OF TOOL ATTITUDE EVALUATION OF SURFACE ELEMENT.
