Research Abstract |
This paper presents a new evaluation technique for the NAKAUMI LAKE ecosystem by using artificial life methods and the 3D model of tidal motion. For the Tidal motion the governing equations are derived from 3D Navier Stokes equations. Also the artificial methods are introduced by a nueral network SOM (Self Organizing Map). First, in order to investigate the performance of the presented model, a model test associated with the artificial tidal flat surrounded by breakwaters is carried out. Secondly, the tidal current in the shallow water around the NAKAUMI is simulated. Then SOM was applied to the water quality and the shellfish lives. Finally, the applicability of the presented model is discussed.
