Research Abstract |
This project aims to establish a collaborative structural analysis (CSA) system that utilizes beneficial features of existing individual structural analysis programs. The following handmade programs were unified ; NETLYS which deals with frame analyses developed by Prof.Tada, COMPO which deals with precise analyses of composite beams by Prof.Tada, FERT which deals with lateral buckling analyses by Dr.Kanno, NASP which deals with local buckling analyses by Dr.Ohgami, and NETBASE which deals with column base analyses by Prof.Tamai. Some frame analyses, pushover analyses and seismic time history analyses, were conducted by combining plural programs. In order to improve robustness and convenience, the Operator Splitting method, which is a numerical integration technique of motion equation using only restoring forces but not using stiffness of substructures, was implemented to CSA system. By utilizing OS method, the collaborative frame analyses combining NETLYS and general-purpose structural analysis program (ABAQUS) was conducted. Pseudo static pushover analyses and seismic time history analyses of three story frames were successfully conducted. The activity has been propagated in panel discussion of annual meeting of Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ), research meeting of steel structures in AIJ Kinki branch, and special seminar held in Tokyo Institute of Technology. And, corresponding research papers were submitted to AIJ journal and journal of Japanese Society of Steel Construction (JSSC).
