Research Abstract

従来の電気メスのバイポーラーは、体内に煙が充満したり、広範囲の血管組織を壊死させてしまう問題があった。中空ファイバは、内部から手術中の煙の吸引・排出が可能、赤外伝送路と可視光も伝送可能なことが分り、一部実用化されている。また異なる波長のレーザ光を一本のファイバで同時伝送することが考えられる。
本研究は血管の止血と切断を瞬時に行う、全く新しいタイプのレーザバイポーラーの伝送路及び先端素子を中空ファイバオプティクスで開発し、その製作法を確立することを目的とし、以下の研究を行った。
1.3波長同時伝送可能な有機樹脂内装中空ファイバの製作
治療用2波長赤外光とパイロット光(緑)を効率的に伝送する中空ファイバの誘電体膜厚を設計し、その膜厚0.3μmを精密に成膜する手法について検討を行った。内径700μm、長さ2mで均一な膜厚を有する3波長同時伝送可能な中空ファイバを実現した。
2.3波長用入射光学系の設計と評価
3波長伝送中空ファイバに、切断機能レーザ光(波長約3μm)、止血機能レーザ光(波長約2μm)及び外部から緑色パイロット光(波長532nm)を効率的に入射させるため、入射系にテーパ型中空入射結合器を用いることを検討し、その設計を行った。
3.中空ファイバオプティクスによる高機能先端素子の設計・製作
3波長帯の吸収が比較的小さく、無毒、高エネルギー出射に適した石英を材質に用い、低損失かつ集光・拡散・側方照射効果を有する先端形状について設計を行った。各種形状の先端素子の製作を行い、その出射特性を明らかにした。
4.レーザバイポーラー用中空ファイバ伝送システムの構築と評価
内視鏡を用い、製作したファイバの屈曲性ならびに可能性について調査した。低損失化が要求される切断機能レーザ光(波長約3μm)の曲げ負荷特性を実験的に検討し、実用的な使用に耐えうるファイバを実現した。
