超精密ダイヤモンド工具刃先のin situナノ形状計測による超精密加工技術

Research Abstract

形状誤差100nm以下のレプリカX線非球面反射鏡を製作するために、無電解ニッケル製金型の超精密ダイヤモンド切削の研究を行なって来た。この場合、加工装置の位置決め分解能1nmに比べ超精密ダイヤモンド工具刃先の形状測定分解能はその100倍から1000倍も悪いのが現状であった。また、X線望遠鏡のような大型金型においては、工具摩耗による工具刃先形状の変化は避けられない。そこで、静的な状態でnm単位の形状計測が可能なレーザー散乱を応用した超高精度工具形状計測システムNano InSPEC を使用して、各種超精密ダイヤモンド工具刃先形状を測定した。それと共に、ナノVIBEファイバーオプティックセンサーを使用して非球面金型のナノ機上形状計測を行い、その計測結果を加工にフィードバックすることにより、X線顕微鏡並びにX線望遠鏡用超精密非球面金型を製作した。その結果、前者においては数十nmの形状精度での非球面金型の加工が可能となった。
海外共同研究者(Soares博士)を招聘し、共同研究を行い、その結果は、"Measurements of Spindl Parameters and Tool Positioning on a Diamond Turning Machine to Nanometer Resolution" と題して,3rd International Conference on Leading Edge Manufacturing in 21st Century(LEM21),Nagoya, Japan(2005)で発表した。また、同じ会議で"Precision Machining of Electroless Nickel Mandrels and Fabrication of Replicated Mirrors for Soft X-Ray Microscopes" と題してX線反射鏡用非球面金型の超精密加工と形状計測について発表した。
