Research Abstract

本研究ではセラミックス圧電体新規物質を開拓するため、超弾性体として大きな歪みを生じ得るものをターゲットとし、約600種類ある超弾性体に対して相転移点を制御することにより圧電体への応用の可能性を探った。セラミックスとして作成可能な物質として、点群422(D_4),222(D_2),622(D_6),32(D_3),23(T),4^^-2m(D_<2d>),6^^-(C_<3h>),4^^-3m(Td),^^-62 m(D_<3h>),3m(C_<3r>),4m(C_<4v>),6mm(C_<6v>)をもつ酸化物の中から室温以上で構造相転移を起こす約350の酸化物群のうちから約60個の物質をマトリックス候補物質として選定した。これらのうち、ドーピングにより大きな変形を引き起こす可能性のある16個の物質をさらに選び出して圧電性を評価した。これらのうち、Ba_<0.27>Sr_<0.75>Nb_2O_<5.78>,Li_<4.07>K_<5.7>Nb_<10.2>O_<30>,Ba_6CoNb_9O_<30>,Ba_6FeNb_9O_<30>,Mn_2Zn_2Nb_2O_9,Ba_6FeNb_9O_<30>,PbNb_2O_6,Bi_3TiNbO_9,NaVO_3,YInO_3,Ca_3GeO_<6.45>,Sr_2MnSbO_6等をマトリックスとする物質は一定の電場で一定量以上の伸びを示すことが明らかになった。これらの結晶の多くは逆圧電効果を示し、また最大変位は100kV/cmで0.1〜2%を示すことを確認している。本研究の結果は圧電体を無毒化するために必要な戦略を提示するものである。
