Research Abstract

本研究では,アニオンリビング重合法と定量的な官能基変換反応を用いることで,鎖末端に複数(2,4,6,8,10,16,32個)のパーフルオロオクチル基(C_8F_<17>基)を有する一次構造の制御されたポリスチレンを合成に始めて成功した.このようにして得られたC_8F_<17>基化ポリスチレンは,C_8F_<17>基の導入位置や個数が正確にわかっており,かつ分子量や分布C_8F_<17>基が厳密に制御されているため,ポリマーの分子量,導入したC_8F_<17>基の位置や個数がフィルム最表面の高次構造形成に与える影響を明らかにするには最適のポリマーと考えられる.これらのポリマーフィルムの表面構造を検討するため,接触角,およびX-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy測定行った結果,C_8F_<17>基化ポリマーよりキャストしたフィルムは,いずれもC_8F_<17>基の大きな表面濃縮能力による高撥水・撥油性が観察され,その濃縮度はポリマー鎖中に導入されたC_8F_<17>基の個数や位置によって大きく影響することが明らかとなった.さらに本研究では,C_8F_<17>基とポリマー主鎖との結合に着目し,ベンジルエーテル,ベンジルエステル,フェニルエーテル,フェニルエステルの極性や自由度の異なる4種類の結合により導入されたC_8F_<17>基の表面濃縮挙動について検討することで,C_8F_<17>基の導入数,導入位置のみならず,導入様式や結合様式がこれらのポリマーフィルムの表面構造を決定する要因として重要な役割を果たしていることを初めて系統的かつ定量的に示した.
