Research Abstract

光学活性二座配位子の開発に取り組む前に、(4R,5R)-4,5-diphenyl-1,3-dialkyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-imidazol-1-ium tetrafluoroboratesより発生する光学活性N-ヘテロサイクリックカルベン単座型配位子の機能の開拓を行った。本カルベン単座型配位子が、芳香族アルデヒドのロジウム触媒によるアリールボロン酸を用いた不斉アリール化やパラジウム触媒によるN-(2-bromophenyl)-N-methyl-2-arylpropanamideの不斉分子内アリール化(up to 65% ee)に適用可能であることを見出した。なお、パラジウム触媒によるN-(2-bromophenyl)-N-methyl-2-arylpropanamideの不斉分子内アリール化に適用した例は、不斉収率はこれまで報告されている中で、最も高い値である。
さらに本研究の実践中、以下の新反応、つまり、N-ヘテロサイクリックカルベン1,3-di-mesitylimidazol-2-ylideneが有機求核触媒としてトリメチルシリルシアニドを用いた、芳香族・脂肪族のアルデヒド、ケトン、アルジミンやケチミンのシアノ化の触媒として有効であることを見出した。本例は、N-ヘテロサイクリックカルベンがカルボニル化合物やイミン化合物のシアノ化を触媒すること見出した最初の例である。
