Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、応力消光と応力発光の技術を組み合わせ、機械的に誘起された新しい光スイッチを開発するとしている。具体的には、(1)新規応力消光材料の開発、(2)応力消光の原理分析(3)光スイッチの創出である。
新規応力消光材料の開発において、これまでに唯一の応力消光材料として、CaZnOS:Cuを開発した。また、遷移金属イオンAgを半導体材料CaZnOSの中に導入すると、応力消光の現象を示すことが発見された。更に、残光寿命を評価要素として導入し、CaZnOS:Cuの応力消光の性能を分析した。CaZnOS:Cuの残光寿命は応力消光強度と異なる、多重応力負荷により安定的である。残光寿命と応力発光強度と組み合わせると、高精度の応力センシングとフィードバック応力測定ができる。また、進捗にともない、無閾値の高感度な応力発光材料LiNbO3:Pr3+を開発できた。100μst以下の応力でも十分な応力発光強度を観察される。この研究成果は単細胞イメージングと低歪み応力探知等に応用可能である。
