Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題は、イラン高原から中央アジアを通ってアジア東縁に点在する古生代後期(特に3.2~2.7億年前)の低温高圧型変成岩とオフィオライト構成岩に着目し、超海洋パンサラッサと古テチス海のインタフェイスについての未解決問題の解決に取り組むものである。最終年度(平成30年4~9月)は、前年度までに得られたデータを総括しながら総合研究を展開した。また、昨年度に引き続き、変成海洋玄武岩試料から分離したジルコンを韓国の基礎科学資源研究所において高質量分解能型二次イオン質量分析装置(HR-SIMS)をもちいた高確度のウラン・鉛年(U-Pb)代測定を試みた他、変成堆積岩についてはレーザーアブレージョンと四重極型誘導結合プラズマ質量分析(LA-ICPQMS)をもちいた砕屑性ジルコンの年代頻度パターンの把握を行った。西オーストラリア大学の共同研究者らと、初年度・次年度に日本列島の複数の古生代地質体のから岩石採取し、鉱物分離を行った砕屑性ジルコンについて、局所ウラン・鉛年代測定と局所ハフニウム同位体組成の同時測定を大量に実施し、得られたデータの解析を行った。スペインのサラマンカ大学で変成鉱物についての高精度の酸素・水素同位体組成分析も実施した。ELEFANTコードを用いたコンピューターによる3Dダイナミクスのモデリングと、GPlatessソフトウェアを用いた超海洋パンサラッサと古テチス海周辺のプレート境界の変遷の可視可を進めた。
