Outline of Annual Research Achievements

Dr Tran characterized final dendrite shape in augmin mutants.
Her preliminary studies of RNAi knock-down dgt4 neurons labeled for EB1 suggested a simplified dendrite arbor shape compared to controls.
Dr Tran performed in vivo time-lapse imaging of EB1::GFP (to label MTs) and Fascin:: KO (to mark actin) in developing augmin mutant neurons. dgt4 RNAi growth cones showed reduced MT nucleation and track extension.
Furthermore Dr Tran generated endogenously tagged wac and dgt4 Drosophila flies using CRISPR.
