今年度は、前年度に実施したインド・コルカタ郊外でのニュータウン開発にともない土地を失った地域住民を対象としたアンケート調査データについて、部分的最小二乗回帰パスモデルンによる解析を進めた。分析の結果、関係価値が、社会経済的地域の変化が人々の主観的幸福度に与える影響に対する媒介効果をもつこと、特に都市開発による高齢者層は経済的状況は改善しているものの、開発は他方で関係価値の構成要素である「場所性」（sence of place）を低下させ、全体としては主観的幸福度の低下につながっていることが明らかになった。この結果は、開発が引き起こす社会影響を考える上で、開発が生態系サービスや人と自然との関係にどのような影響を及ぼすかの理解を深める必要性を示唆している。この研究結果の一部は、2019年8月にSpringerより出版予定の"Sharing Ecosystem Services: Building More Sustainable and Resilient Society"に"Chapter 13 Sharing Place: A case study on the loss of peri-urban landscape to urbanization in India"として収録予定である。本章は、開発の結果生じた家庭菜園の喪失が人々の関係価値に与えた影響につても吟味している。またこの他に、Sustainability Science誌掲載論文"What and how are we sharing? A systematic review of the sharing paradigm and practices" (doi:10.1007/s11625-018-0638-2)を執筆（共著）したほか、2018年3月に世銀で開催された19th Annual World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty: Land governance in an interconnected worldにおいて"Land conversion, sense of place and human well-being: the unexplored nexus of urbanization"として口頭発表した。
