Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
As solitons so not disperse, they are intriguing systems to consider as matter-wave traps for impurities. In this case an attractive man-field potential provides a confining structure and if one combines several of them by using solution-train solutions, one can study coherent impurity dynamics in such systems. In this work we showed that solutions for this exist that are stable and display interesting tunneling dynamics. While the initial description is in terms of coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations, we also develop an effective Rabi-like model that explains the population dynamics.
