| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of the research is twofold: (1) to present a new design discipline on design doing focused not only on students but also on locals, (2) the verification and implementation of ACP (Augmented Campus Program) on local-driven design.
The ACP is an enhanced educational program, which includes lectures, project-based learning, workshops, and fieldwork. The research verified the effects of these four types of educational program on design thinking and understanding. Not only Japanese but also Taiwanese participated in the research through an international workshop. This research will be published in a book titled "Local-Driven Design Methodology: A New Approach to Design Doing by Implementing Local Power".

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では、教育プログラムの設計運用、ワークショップの開催など様々な手法を実践的に試みた。地域主体の自律的創生力を刺激するために、次世代を担う学生たちの自律的創生支援デザイン教育に焦点を当て、大学の立地する都市と周辺市町村が連携した教育プログラムパッケージを観光を絡めた継続的なビジネスモデルとして地域活性化のトリガーにしようとする点に独自性がある。
大都市の有するインフラとしての大学と周辺市町村が連携することで、大学においては教育効果が高まる、周辺市町村においては地域活性化のための継続的なビジネスモデルとして活用可能になるという２つの成果があり、学術的・社会的意義を含むものといえる。
