| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Resiliency of buildings has been becoming an important design issue in addition to safety. Rocking system using post-tensioned precast concrete walls is considered suitable to provide resiliency to buildings in seismic area. Reinforced concrete rocking wall system was tested to prove its enhanced performance in damage controlling ability. The numerical modelling scheme was developed to simulate damage of concrete and reinforcement in addition to load-displacement relations. The new structural system is expected to perform well to achieve quick recovery and continuity of building functions in addition to safety.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
2010年版鉄筋コンクリート構造計算規準・同解説（建築学会,2010）では，枠柱のない壁板を耐震壁として扱うことを可能とする変更が行われ，建築意匠上は魅力的な空間構成が可能になった．これを追認する法改正が行われれば，矩形断面耐震壁部材は全国に波及すると考えられる．この矩形断面壁に関し，靭性型でありながら損傷制御に優れる圧着型PCaPC壁を開発し，機能維持性能を有しつつ設計者が意図する荷重－変形関係を利用できる基礎技術提供でき，建物の安全性はもちろんレジリアンスも格段に向上した社会基盤の形成が可能となった．
