Outline of Final Research Achievements

We performed two set of researches. 1) study on model of mobile edge computing for next-generation mobile applications, 2) study on TCP fairness improvement for mobile edge computing environment. For 1), we have developed a mathematical model for low-latency service and implemented a testbed system. For 2), we have investigated TCP fairness issues in a cloud-edge mixed environment.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

次世代モバイルアプリが必要とする2種類の研究を実施した。1.超低遅延サービスのためのモバイルエッジコンピューティングモデルの確立、2.モバイルエッジコンピューティング環境でのTCP公平性研究。前者は低遅延サービスのためのモデルの確立と当該モデルのテスト実装の開発を実施した。後者は、クラウドサーバとエッジサーバの2種類を利用する際のTCP公平性向上に関する研究を実施した。
