Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study was to elucidate the genetic and environmental factors associated with allergic diseases/intermediate phenotypes such as specific IgE production. We performed genotyping on samples of an birth cohort study using SNP arrays with approximately 660,000 genetic markers per person. We confirmed association between specific IgE production against Cry j 1 and HLA-DPB1*02 allele at 5 years old (P=0.00089, OR=0.61). We also found associations between several HLA alleles and specific IgE production against allergen components at 9 years old (P < 1×10-6).

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
