| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The collaboration between education and social welfare is indispensable to solve the problems on lives and human development of people especially children in modern Japan, such as poverty, isolation, suicide, child abuse, bullying and so on. However, it has many difficulties for solving problems by the holistic approach, because of each separate systems and principles and also practical methods.
On this study, we set a unified concept of ‘Education Welfare’ to solve specific challenges through collaboration among researchers in the fields of education and social welfare, and have been exploring its basic philosophy and practical methodology. Then we note the school social work as the most appropriate area to achieve our purpose, and built practically the teacher training program.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
研究期間中には、教育学と社会福祉学の両分野による共同研究を、定期的および適宜開催し、諸課題に対する各分野における研究的および実践的なアプローチについて共通理解を形成しつつ、「教育福祉」の理論化に挑戦した。
また、スクールソーシャルワーク教職員研修の実施により、教職員が、配置が進みつつあるスクールソーシャルワーカーとの協働によって課題解決するための基礎的な視点、知識・技術を習得することに貢献するとともに、研修プログラムを開発することができた。同プログラムは公刊予定であり、広く活用される可能性がある。
