Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have investigated for pressure phase diagram of superconducting critical temperature(Tc), in cuprate superconductors. Previously, only the best compounds which have highest Tc among have been investigated. We study many types mainly in Hg-based cuprates in carrier doping level, numbers of CuO2 plane, to clarify the mechanism of enhancement in Tc under high pressures. In addition to this, we also have performed same experimental studies on 'Cu,C', 'Tl', 'F'-based cuprates to improve understanding for this study. We also suggest a new compounds which will have the highest Tc exceeding 134K of Hg-1223 based on these results.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

現在最も高い超伝導転移温度を持つ銅酸化物高温超伝導体は多くの場合圧力下で転移温度Tcが上昇する。これは超伝導体においては珍しいといってよい現象である。本研究は、このTcの上昇メカニズムの解明とさらに高いTcを持つ銅酸化物超伝導体の提案を目指すものである。最も高い転移温度TcをもつHg系を中心に、Tl系、Cu,C系、頂点フッ素系などを含めて、様々なドーピング量、CuO2面の数の違いなどをふくめた網羅的なTc圧力相図を完成させた。これによりさらに高いTcを持つであろう物質の提案も行った。Tcを高めることは超伝導技術の社会での利用に直結する重要な研究目的である。これに対して貢献することができた。
